Everyone Goes Home Safe!

Fran Martin, Director of Safety

Kortman Electric puts a major focus on safety in the workplace. We want all of our employees to go home in the same shape that they arrived to work, without interruption to their family income due to a workplace injury.

We’re so pleased to hit the 2,000 day milestone without any time lost to job-site injury.

“I’m so proud of our team for reaching this milestone. We haven’t lost a single day of work due to an on the job injury, since 2011. Safety is a part of the Kortman Electric culture. We all look out for each other.  It’s had an incredible affect on our rating as a company.; our 2017 eMod rate is a 0.66, incredible for our industry. Thank you everyone. Remember, Everyone Goes Home Safe! “

Recognizing that electrical work in the construction and service world can be dangerous, we work very hard to ensure a safe workplace for our team.  From training, to job-hazard analysis and site inspections, to the proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), our team is set up for success

Preventing injuries from happening is our number one focus. In the event of the occasional bump, bruise, nick, or cut, the company employs a return-to-work program, allowing employees to be placed on an alternate assignment, tailored to their condition.
