Kortman leads the industry with the ability to manage our access control solutions with one of two protocols: IP-based communication, or RS485 when connecting controllers to a managing PC or server. Stand-alone controllers can be utilized for smaller installations. The standard technology offered with all of our product solutions for contactless RF readers, keypads, mobile access control, magnetic reader, and more is the Wiegand protocol.
PC, server, or cloud-based access control solutions allow for integration with badging, background checks, surveillance, and/or intrusion systems. Cameras can be easily programmed to monitor door access upon swipe, as well as system lockdowns when intrusion is detected. Kortman offers several product solutions to meet the design requirements of any size project.
