Wireless Access

In computer networking wireless access points also referred to as access points is a hardware device used to broadcast the network (Internet & data) using radio frequency (RF) signals allowing connectivity of your devices (phones, laptops, tablets, etc.).  Kortman uses predictive mapping tools to ensure proper coverage of your wireless network.  These tools take into consideration the construction environment of your building, i.e. the materials used to construct walls, and doors. Both interior and exterior are taken into consideration when designing your wireless network.

Wi-Fi Gigabit

When using a POL (Passive Optical LAN) network, higher throughput (bps – bits per second) speeds are possible.  One of the primary services Kortman offers is the design and installation of POL and associated IoT (internet of things) devices including Wi-Fi network devices.  As the demand for more bandwidth and better wireless coverage in commercial applications is needed.  With POL infrastructure and hardware solutions now supporting speeds up to 40Gbs Wi-Fi 6 is easily achieved.
